Many visiters though decided to stay in the valley and enjoyed the autumn colors of the trees there.

Die vorhandene Sesselbahn war ausser Betrieb (angeblich wegen zu viel Wind, der jedoch nicht zu spüren war). So blieb nur der etwas mühsamere Aufstieg über die nicht enden wollende Treppe.

The existing cable car was out of operation (reportedly due to strong winds which we couldn't feel at all). There was no other choise than climbing the endless steps.
