Changsha ist Maos Heimat. Diese riesige Büste des jungen Mao (82 Meter lang, 32 Meter hoch) steht aus der Insel Juzi Zhou im Fluss Xiangjiang.

Historisches, wie die berühmte Yuelu Akademie, lässt sich auch finden. Diese Hochschule wurde 976 erbaut und hat somit eine mehr als tausendjährige Geschichte.

Historic places can be found too, like the famous Yuelu-Academy. Built in 976 AD it has a history of more than 1'000 years.

Gleich hinter der alten Universität am Yuelu-Berg liegt der Lushan-Tempel, der älteste in der Provinz Hunan.
